I have friend that told me he saw a a 98 celica with a engine from a either an IS 300 or an ES300 I am just curious to see what you guys think about this. I have trying to somebody out there that has done this and so far I have come up with nothing. Do you guys think this is possible or do think the owner of the car was just yanking his chain? If it is possible it would be really cool to see.

I'll second...however, it wouldn't be ideal for a Celica, because of the different set-ups (FF and FR)... You'll need a tranny among a ton of other little shiat. Better luck with a Beams Redtop. As for Bill Sherwood, it'll probably be slightly easier to do in a AE86 because that platform is also FR. I belive he literally swapped over directly, the tranny, engine, wiring, and even the guage cluster... so his swap, I'd imagine, wouldn't be too difficult, considering he's also RHD (as is the Jdm Altezza)... Of course, he's probably also modifying stuff, and has a ton of custom fabbed parts to fit it, but who knows exactly. The engine itself, is still an S series, however, the problem is the lack of diagrams, and the rarity of the engine... -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl... I'm an artist!"
