hello for those of you who don't know me my name is Ian and i am from New Brunswick Canada
those of you who do know me have fallowed me on facebook in the last lil while with what iv had happen
so lets start it off
here is my pride and joy my 94 GTS

this was my first nice car i was able to be proud of
i bought it off a friend in 08 and the car was mint had high millage but was very well kept
i did a few mods to it nothing crazy it had sport max wheels 3 point strut braces i made, hids, fogs, custom seats, custom splitters,
lowered on ebay stuff and nice sterreo
fast forward to nov 2010
i had purchased a AE92 for a winter beater, didn't wanna run my baby in the winter, mechanical issues arose with the corolla gts so it wasn't on the road as early as i wanted it to be. i promised my gf to take her dog to the vet an hr away and had to drive the celi, weather was clear and i drove an hr to her place did the vet thing and then it happened. weather turned bad and i was in a rush to get my baby home i was babying it around town to get it home in one piece because i didn't have adequate tires for snow. i entered a traffic circle and all hell broke loose and i went into a slide down a hill. tried everything i could to correct it but that was it, smash! into a curb with all my momentum focused on my drivers side front wheel
pics of the damage

$375.00 tow ride home

i was left with a broken celica i deemed not worth fixing, i tweaked the front end a lil from the impact. No body pannel damage but i figured she was doomed and not worth to fix as it would be fixed it at home. Because i just recently switched the insurance back onto it and it was the bare minimum
so this lil oopsy was not covered.
i had some money put away for a 3s swap i was saving for and used it to put my corolla gts on the road then began the hunt/quest for another. i didn't wanna call my celica game over yet... so i hunted and saved and saved and hunted, being on unemployment doesn't give you much chance to save money so i pinched every penny i sold some stuff i vowed id never let go of and found a swapped celi in ontario within my budget, but my truck driver backed out and because the car wasn't running i didn't want some one Else's problem. so i hunted more and found a 94 gt an hr away, it was red like mine had a moon roof and leather interior but price tag was 2500, to rich for my blood.
but...i had to go check it out and bring my A game, i just sold my corolla so i had no wheels what so ever to fund the next purchase so a friend drove me down to check it out

there she sat, i went up and down her picking out what ever i could find wrong, mechanically to be on the road it need a new axle back and e break fixed to pas mvi and tires, i found a few more things and did some haggling and went from 2500 to 1700 very quickly i was knocking him down but couldn't get any further, car had a nice stereo set up i was willing to part with in order to pay 1700. I went home thought it over i had to buy snow tires in order to get it home so i searched around and found a fairly new set for 200 bucks picked them up and made the final bargain of 1500 with out the fast wheels. it was a go it was gonna be mine no stereo no wheels 1500. then my friend messaged me looking for wheels for his mr2 he gave me200 for the wheels on this car so i was gonna get it for 1700 then buddy decided to throw in the system because he didn't know how to take it out. away we went i was getting my car for 1500 my friend was getting a good buy for wheels at 200 we were happy
i get there look it over again give him money swap the reg and throw my gt wheels and tires on and get ready for the trip home and then the alternator decides to **** the bed, i was stuck i spent all my money to buy this car and tires and switch it over and pay my friends gas for hauling me there twice and this happens, we call some yards knowing we weren't gonna find a celica in there cause they are rare in these parts then buddy gives me 200 back to put towards a tow. now the previous week i sold the corolla and the guy blew it up driving it home, due to spirited driving and i felt bad for him and refunded him 100 dollars of the 425 he gave me. Karma comes into play here i think, this guy is not gonna stick me and say to bad so sad and help me out. i call a friend 2 hrs away who has a 26ft enclosed trailer and agrees to bring me home for 250, we wait around and he shows up we haul it out of the lot with a wrx and boost the celi back to life and i drive it up into the trailer. a thrill ride home full of a few close calls like jack knifing on the high way.....weather turned bad again and a few slides she was delivered home and i have a new respect for my friends driving skills. Here she is next to her snow covered sister after i swapped the alternator

the next day i parked it inside my shop and started swapping stuff further checking it out and installing my stereo system/upgrading the one in it
now before i get into it, my goal for now is a nice clean subtle looking car with an over all "mint" look and feeling of it, a few taste full mods, i want it to be loud work nice turn heads and handle well....then down the road il begin saving AGAIN for a swap
now here she is

first thing i did was tear down the moon roof clean and grease every thing because it was sluggish, so that was fixed

quick snap of the tan leather

now the front seats are toast but... i have something to replace them so i am not worried

then it was replace the tails, mine were in wayyy better shape so they had to be put on

notice the the gash in the paint^ il explain that one and the plan for repair

then cam stereo time
id be utilizing the big custom fitted boxes and rockford subs that came with it power it with my 1200 watt mtx amp, install my infinity reference components and reference 6.5s for the back and power them with a 300 watt pioneer amp

a shot of the goodies before install fresh out of my other car

then install and rewire everything

all installed and added my stinger cap to the system
mdf cover to hide the mass of wires and second amp

a pic of the seats folded down looking back

my deck installed, this will come in handy because i can hook my phone, ipod and laptop into it which will take care of the cd skipping at 3/4 volume

that covers the sound system next up i stole some more parts like the arm rest cause this one was toast, passenger side mirror and a few interior pieces to the hatch that were missing like hatch trim and courtesy cover

now on to removing the stick on glow gauges i dislike so much

now notice these are in mph, in Canada we use kmh..i figured some dumb ricer just bought these off ebay thought nothing of it and stuck em on
now i never noticed this next part until it was pointed out to me

nice clean stock gauges....but still in mph.. i never noticed.. i did how ever notice a different door chime, self locking doors upon start up and green back lighting for the dash, my friend who owns a wrc gt4 stopped buy and informed me that i have an American car i never even noticed it until he pointed it out,f#ck i felt dumb... he informed me canadian cars never cam with tan leather interior and he thought only cali cars did, wither that's true or not i dunno, what has me pissed off is 190 on the clock is in fact not km but miles frown.gif so that's a bummer, but explains why the body is so well kept it never seen the harshness of our Canadian weather. i got a hold of the seller and he knew nothing about it so what can u do i guess, my luck.. still not bad but wish it was still 190 km instead. so now back to mods, remember that gash in the quarter?.... well some pissed off french men decided to carve the spoiler all to hell and get 6 inches of the quarter. the seller removed the spoiler and it came with the car and he did this to cover the holes.

hard to see cause of my ****ty camera but that's stick on bullet holes and duct tape to cover it. so that's my next project, the spoiler/shaved hatch have grown on me and because i have another hatch doing nothing i am going to shave the wiper, spray nozzle and get some blanks and weld up the holes for a shaved hatch. then in the coming while i plan to get my sport maxx wheel fixed and get some new rubber for them, il install my seats my splitters my hid's intake and spend a week doing ALOT of cleaning to the engine bay, remove the ugly tan carpet and install my black one, go see my friend at hemi house for some drop springs and kyb's. i could install my ebay junk coilovers but thats a step backwards i figure. then when i get material im going to reconstruct some new 3point strut braces front and back, i may use my old ones for now but i have a new design id like to put forth soon. other then that that's my plans for now just fix and replace lil things and make it mint again
thanks for looking! il update when i make more progress
Ian
