It's looking more and more like I've blown another CT turbo, and I've had enough
So I have some coin to spend on a new turbo, but not enough for an ECU (cost more than the turbo). What can I run with basic fuel mods? GT2860 - Should be a close match to an upgraded CT20b, Shouldn't have to worry about dangerous leaning? GT2871 - Direct replacement for GT2860, Flows more air than my fuel system can provide, but a good investment for later on when I can afford the ECU GT2876 - We're already talking high power turbos, why not go straight to the best compressor in the T28 series? Actually changed my mind, after several discussions with a guy at the turbo shop. 2871 has the lag of a 3071 without the power. the 2860 with the .64 is the only turbo which meets my needs in terms of spool, just short of my goals in terms of max HP but seems to be a reasonable tradeoff.
They say the 2871 and the 2876 work on the SR20DET but just not on the 3S-GTE, Noone can explain why. Either way, for me it's Disco Potato time -------------------- Mike W
