hey guys, this is a non celica tech question, about my 95 eagle talon. i got a check engine light yesterday and assumed it was a bad o2 sensor (got it diagnosed a couple months back) when i went to autozone to be sure it was the same problem the car would not start after the diagnosis was plugged in and done. (the diagnostic machine also stated that it could not read what was wrong, the guy said i may have an electrical issue, but the car was running beforehand )
the only way it would start was by pushing it and popping the clutch. I noticed that my ignition fusable link was burned but not broken. could this be the problem? I was told that it would be broken all the way if it was. Im completely stumped and would appreciate any input! cheers! -------------------- |

not start or not crank? when you push the clutch in and turn the key, what happens? nothing would happen, not even a click. but i found out recently what the deal was! apparently the CEL codes thrown were misleading. i DO have an o2 sensor that needs to be replaced (can smell fuel sometimes and exhaust fumes/sulphr) BUT it was actually the starter!! if there were no codes i would have immediately been suspicioius of the starter. AHHH DSM's GOTTA LOVE EM!! -------------------- |
