No Boost, I had thought I'd blew my head gasket or something. Finally, taken apart my Down pipe, come to find out my "turbine exploded" Not much is left. So, with this finding, upgrade turbo is on the way sooner than expected. Engine work was on my to do list, but I guess my turbo was asking to be replace 1st.
I would like to opinion on this turbo kit would just order. From KO Racing, precision Billet 50trim t3/t4 turbo kit, comes with everything needed to be plug n play. Only thing change would be clock turbo, and redo midpipe. I've been doing lots of checking, come to find out that I could save some money by getting all parts together to get a turbo setup, but due to limited time with work and time custom one together. I figure why not just get a complete kit ready to go and save some time. Any how, I was hoping to get some feed back on what everyone thinks. Kit cost my $2347 to my door. I'll be posting some picture soon, once I get the kit. Could be up to 4 weeks to get everything built and ship out to me. Just in case why 50trim, so in near future, I'll just set up my engine to this turbo size up to it claims 450whp, without having to upgrade turbo. Thanks everyone. looking forward for all your feed back. |

I doubt the ceramic wheel "just exploded".
And my CT20b was dead after a 5 minute hill climb in 2nd gear near the redline at stock boost (13psi or 0.9bar) just a week after I bought my st205 What happens is, people don't religiously look after their engine oil, they drive their car hard and don't follow warm down proceedure. The oil lubricating the journal bearing and suspending the shaft becomes coked causing excessive wear on the shaft and bearings once this happens the shaft no longer spins with perfect balance so that every time you drive the car after that (especially hard) you multiply the wear rate until the day a 120,000rpm spinning blade crashes into the side of the housing and takes out all the other blades and bends the shaft completely. -- This is right at the onset of that exact moment you hear a loud screachy whine and lose all power -------------------- Mike W
