hey guys, this is a non celica tech question, about my 95 eagle talon. i got a check engine light yesterday and assumed it was a bad o2 sensor (got it diagnosed a couple months back) when i went to autozone to be sure it was the same problem the car would not start after the diagnosis was plugged in and done. (the diagnostic machine also stated that it could not read what was wrong, the guy said i may have an electrical issue, but the car was running beforehand )
the only way it would start was by pushing it and popping the clutch. I noticed that my ignition fusable link was burned but not broken. could this be the problem? I was told that it would be broken all the way if it was. Im completely stumped and would appreciate any input! cheers! -------------------- |

lol, there is not code for bad starter. no start/no crank= check power to main starter lug, check power to solenoid wire when key is in crank position, jump power to solenoid to check starter operation. If both powers are present and starter does not work, replace starter and thoroughly clean/inspect battery cables and grounds. If starter does work but no power to solenoid wire trace circuit back from starter through various switches and relays and replace them as needed.
