Hey guys, i was wondering if anyone knew the proper way to adjust the clutch pedal on our cars? I notice that theres a lot of free play with the clutch pedal before it becomes nice and tight when i press it down. I bleed the clutch fluid thinking it may fix it, but it didnt fix the free play, but did make it tighter. I think i read somewhere that the clutch pedal can be adjusted by loosening a lock nut and twisting the push rod more towards the pedal? Is this the way to fix the free play? And how exactly do you do it? Thanks!

cant i just loosen the lock nut, and twist the shaft towards the pedal, then tighten the lock nut? do i have to remove the u shaped piece?

Dont remove the U shaped piece. You dont have to do it, and it would probably make the job more trouble than its worth. Just loosen the nut and twist the rod to set the pedal height. Then use the round sensor thing at the top of the pedal to change the free play.
