So I was going to change my fuel filter, everything's going fine until I notice the bottom bolt isn't loosening and I run the risk of twisting the fuel line. So I just put it back together to take it in to a mechanic, start the car, and gasoline is SPRAYING from the filter. OMG. I shut the car off and prayed. It's coming from the top of the filter, with the banjo bolt connection. I changed those washers before reassembly, so I don't see why it should be SPRAYING gas. I just need to stop the spraying long enough to get it to a mechanic who can help. Meantime, any ideas? Thanks.

EDIT: So I guess I must have threaded the fuel filter, the lines were fine. Got it out and changed and everything is working. Definitely recommend changing that thing every 50k, mine was probably never changed and was such a pain to get off.

Yeah, I think I just crushed the top of the old fuel filter and need to replace it. I'll go get some better tools tomorrow and try some liquid wrench and see if I can free that bottom bolt. I know if I can change the filter the problem will be solved. I'll check the bottom washer as well, could be causing some problems. Thanks man, appreciate the advice.
