I'm thinking about what I want to do with my car at this point. She needs a lot of body work and I want to start fixing her up and get her painted. At the same time, it would cost just as much to get a college beater, and I wouldn't have to worry about it getting messed up at college. Either way, the Celica will be off the road at some point. If I do the body work myself and get it painted, it's going to cost about $800, and there's a Jetta on craigslist for $1250. My dad could easily talk the guy down to under a grand, there's no doubt in my mind about that haha. It's black, 5spd, 151k, and it looks to be in good condition. I know there are a lot of people that are older than me on this forum, but in your honest opinion, what would you do out of the choices that I have put up? If your opinions are different from what I have above, please put them down.

You've worked to get it where it's at now, so get 'er painted and then drive the tits out of it.

Regarding your car getting messed up at college, I guess that's up to placement. I never park between cars in a parking lot, always a corner spot. Saves me a ding or two, I like to think...
