CAR: 94 GT swap with gen2 3sgte
Ok so i want to dyno tune my car and have an AEM EMS plug and play. I asked the tuner (through email) if he can delete the AFM from the car? This is what he said: "To properly tune the car with the AEM EMS, you would need to get rid of the AFM and instead use a MAP sensor and a intake air temp sensor." Anyone done this? Get rid of the AFM from your car? And how did you do it? I though the 3s came with a map sensor? Ain't it the little black thing on the left of the firewall with a rubber tubing coming out from the bottom? Need Help This post has been edited by team_omega: May 16, 2011 - 5:21 PM |

yes this is exactly what you need to do. you can just use the 3S-GTE MAP sensor and keep that plug and play. what i did on my MR2 and All-Trac, is remove the cold start injector and installed a GM AIT (air intake temp) sensor. then you need to get in the wiring diagrams and see what wires in the AFM plug have the intake temp wires. then splics those into the new sensor.
