hey guys, i recently bought colins old car from another member on here..Love the car, soon as i got her, got her a nice paint job and had a couple oil leaks fixed. Now, i think im in a little trouble...Im getting no power to the distributor, and the mechanics are tellin me they cant mess with the wiring until they know..
1) if the wiring is stock and 2) what year and model the ecu is i know the engine came from a early 90s corolla fx gt but dont know the exact year! I've messaged colin but i dont know how active he is on this site anymore so im turning to you guys and hoping you can tell me the best way to go about this. Thanks for any help! |

If the motor is a 20V then it didn't come out of a Corolla FX. The 20V was never released here in the US, so the wiring is not stock, and depending on the 20V (Silvertop or Blacktop) it could be anywhere from 1991 to 1998.
91-95 Silvertop 95-98 Blacktop http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4A-GE#4A-GE Do you know what "Colin"'s screen name was on here? Did you search his old topics and posts to see if he states anywhere? -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money
