I never thought I would have one of these threads!
This starts off with a good-ol 7th Gen Celica wheel. Looks like we have a problem with the cruise control wiring and controls. Each toggle on the cruise control has it's own resistance value. The 6th Gen Celica and the NewCelica use different resistance values so this means open heart surgery. I havent seen a how-to before so if there is demand, ill make one. ![]() The 6th gen stalk PCB with larger resistors with lower resistance ![]() The 7th gen stalk PCB with smaller resistors. THe 6th Gen resistors were transfered over to the new stalk. The plastic around the resistors had to be cut away to make room for the larger components. Careful soldering is required. ![]() The harness is spliced on to plug into the 6th Gen clock spring. This post has been edited by Projek_01: Aug 11, 2010 - 1:25 AM |
