The other day I cleaned of my brakes before touching up the paint on the calipers.
I sprayed the entire brake assembly(calipers, and rotors) with brake cleaner, let it sit for a few minutes, then wiped it off. I also washed them a couple hours later with the hose. A few days later I see that my rotors are covered in surface rust, so I took some steel wool, and that took the rust off. The next day or so, the rust i back again. Anyone ever had this problem before? My car is sitting on jackstands outside with no wheels on right now while I wait for my new struts to come. -------------------- -Protection mode, For when your amp tries to blow its load. 1995 Toyota Celica GTS - Daily Driver 1999 Chevy Cavalier - Winter Beater 1994 Honda Civic CX Hatchback - Dead My Celica! |

I didn't really think much of it either, but my dad pointed it out and started freaking, saying that its probably the brake cleaner eating my rotors and Is hould call the company and tell them whats happening and all this haha. Just wanted to get a second opinion.
