So orginally the timing belt was too tight, this was due to tensioner being for a second gen, which is not interchangeable. so im debating on using the oem tensioner, looks to be in good shape and once its pressed back in it should be good right? the motor only has 50k miles on it so thoughts?

Found the problem..... the parts guy at toyota is a retard, ordered me the wrong tensioner, gave me one for a second gen. which is about an inch longer and was why i couldnt get it on there, hoping that toyota will take the part back. unless someone on here needs it and i will sell it at cost + shipping
