I was wondering what the weight difference is between the stock pistons and connecting rods when compared with the aftermarket ones.
More specifically the 3sgte pistons/rods when compared to JE pistons/Eagle rods. Edit: Actually I think I have a Gen III connecting rod and piston. If someone has a JE piston and eagle rod I would like to know the weight. This post has been edited by match220: Jun 22, 2011 - 8:43 PM -------------------- -Jay

I thought the 3S crank was factory knife edged?
And to answer your question I believe that any forged item of its OEM equal should weigh less and be stronger...atleast thats how it is with rims... If you get good springs, new valves, fresh gaskets on Everything and a steel headgasket, theres quite a bunch of stuff on nengun to make it rev faster...aluminum pulley etc what cams are you gonna run for that rpm? -------------------- |
