I was wondering what the weight difference is between the stock pistons and connecting rods when compared with the aftermarket ones.

More specifically the 3sgte pistons/rods when compared to JE pistons/Eagle rods.

Edit: Actually I think I have a Gen III connecting rod and piston. If someone has a JE piston and eagle rod I would like to know the weight.

all I'm saying is the stock springs could handle more PSI than the dual coil ferrea ones that I had. More PSI means better spring back, and a lesser chance of valve float at high RPM's. SO for now, I'm running stock ones, until I find something better than the Ferrea ones. I tested the PSI of the stock nonturbo ones, turbo ones, and ferrea ones. Turbo ones could handle 80psi I think, Ferrea dual coil were 60? It's been a while but that's what I think it was. Also the Ferrea dual coil ones couldn't handle the high lobes of the HKS 272 ones I had, since the lift was 9.2 and 9.5mm on I and E. Just because they are stock doesn't mean they are bad, Mechanical Engineers work at Toyota just like mechanical engineers work at Ferrea. Keep in mind though, the 3sgte head was designed by Yamaha, and their sport bikes produced around that time (FZR600/1000 YZF600) redlined at around 12,500 RPM. I know this because I have an FZR600. No valve float, I've had my bike up to those RPM's. The inside of my FZR head has the same shim under bucket design as the 3sgte.
