Long story short when i got the waterpump for the 3rd gen i got the one for the second gen, now reading through the stickies it says that a gen 2 pump will not work on a gen 3? now the pumps look exactly alike with the exception of the propeller on it, so the real question is will it work? and has anyone actually tried it? i know they are different but they should work pretty much the same right? Pic below, brown prop on 3rd gen pulled from motor, stainless is from 2nd gen pump

simple answer is ...yes. explaination is below.

ok, so all you need is to replace the pump itself and keep the 3rd gen rear housing attached to the block and you will be good to go. the front half of the 2nd gen pump will work but you have to keep the rear 3rg gen housing is the concern.
so if you are keeping the rear housing on the 3rd gen you are A OK with just swapping that pump you have!

if you want the whole shabang!
16100-79226 is the 3sge beams complete front and rear assembly only one left in stock.
or the direct swap...
-79236 is the st205 3sgte match number but they are out of stock at the moment for a week or so.
On the lithiatoyota.com website and just use the part number to order and NOT use your car info or it will mess up the order and try to order you the wrong stuff!!
