So after my cars been sitting for a lil bit my oil pressure light flickers real fast. Like when it starts up it goes off bought halfway comes back on real fast then goes off. Its never when I'm driving or anything. Just when I start it. From what I can gather from other forums its just a pressure loss from the heat combined with the viscosity of the oil that is normal most of the time. There is no knocking and my engine starts fine. I just wanna check though cause this is my first summer with the car and so I don't know.
Video Not when its starting of course, right after the engine starts if you pay close attention you can see it dims a lil bit and goes back up. Its hard to see on the video. Even if you cant see it you can tell my lights on for a second after the engine starts, but if I start my car up after its just been ran the light immediately goes off. So is this bad, or is it a normal thing? This post has been edited by travisxcore: May 25, 2011 - 2:48 PM |

or the pressure switch is on the way out, they get 'lazy' when they're going bad.
