The other day out driving i noticed after a good few miles, (using some good boost) the fuel gauge stopped moving at half a tank.... Then the fuel light came on a while after. So i put gas in and the gauge went a little higher, but not much. (I guess this means that the fuse must be ok if the gauge moved at all)
So guys, any ideas what the problem might be?? -------------------- |

Gas pump with the two sender units (one operates the idiot light, the other operates the level gauge) is easily accessible. Pull rear seat bench, remove highly visible covers. Simplest fix -- buy a replacement sender unit and, well, replace. Thanks! Do you happen to know the part number for a sender unit for the st205? F10 FUEL SENDER 1-2 : APPROX. 3 ohms AT FUEL FULL APPROX. 110 ohms AT FUEL EMPTY remove rear seat and access panel, unplug sender, with fuel tank full or close to empty check resistance. if its ok replace guage. or get a resistor around 50 ohms put it in pin 2 (i think) and ground it, you should end up with about half tank reading on guage, if not replace it. Thanks! I will try this in a few days and post again if I run into any problems -------------------- |
