Looking at a 95 liftback online, it's got the oe bbs wheels, no sunroof, black cloth interior and a manual trans, no engine pic or I'd know right off. Any way to tell without looking at the motor?

that doesnt always mean a bad thing..
some cases salvage may mean it was in a flood and water got inside, or a engine bay fire or any collision where the airbags went off causeing a lot of "damage" that is a simple bolt back in kinda thing. my daily and project are both "salvage" my daily was in a front end collision that made the airbags go off slight misalignment of body panels have been a side effect my project? the airbags went off. i cant find ANY other damage. and i tore that thing to the frame. salvage title = good point in lowering the price just make sure to check that... the front end lines up check the frame rails/fender aprons(where the upper fender bolts to) in the engine bay carefully. if it was in a serious front end collision u will be able to tell by these two parts on the pass side try to lift the airbag cover. if you can they went off.. check all the windows for the TOYOTA markings. it may have been vandalized(broke all the glass/mess up the paint = totaled w/o any REAL damage) water damage? if you can smell mold inside its was probably this. but other than that as long as the ecu wasnt damaged or got in the engine(if it runs ur safe) -------------------- QUOTE "And, as always, your friendship, help, and dedication to the advancement of Texas Celica dominance is GREATLY appreciated.
