ya everybody knows toyota owns a bit of subaru. who said anything about a v6, were are strictly talking 4 cylinder. A 200hp boxer engine in a rwd, that just isn't going to cut it. that power was seen as a lot for a 4 cylinder back in the late 90's. so lets hope it has more.
this car is going to be compared to the s2000 in every way shape and form. This post has been edited by BonzaiCelica: Sep 8, 2011 - 1:42 PM -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts

ya everybody knows toyota owns a bit of subaru. who said anything about a v6, were are strictly talking 4 cylinder. A 200hp boxer engine in a rwd, that just isn't going to cut it. that power was seen as a lot for a 4 cylinder back in the late 90's. so lets hope it has more. this car is going to be compared to the s2000 in every way shape and form. On the plus side, its using the same mounting locations as other subaru engines, so it wouldnt be unheard of to quickly drop a WRX or STi engine into it That'll get you +265hp. But even so, who's to say that wouldn't cut it. its about the size of a miata and making about 75 more hp. It may be compared to the S2000 but they stopped making them 2 years ago, so they won't compete against them. Actually, all of that puts subaru in a bit of a predicament in terms of their lineup. But thats a discussion for another day. But wow, 7.46 sec. For comparison, thats faster than a stock GT could go 0-60 (8.4s) and more than twice as fast on the 1/4 mi. (16.4/83.8) (I'm really trying to keep this on topic.) EDIT: I'll continue the FR-S discussion on the Off-topic board if anyone wants This post has been edited by jimmykay: Sep 8, 2011 - 3:22 PM -------------------- '99 Celica GT - Sold
