Question ... I have not turned the car on in one year and three months (15 months) im dropping the engine in Saturda yor Friday night, what should I do about the gas in the tank . Belive it or not lol the tank is toped off (it died last year when i just filled it up lol) but when i put the new fuel filter walboro 255 I noticed its still full the engine is now the 3sgte

Actually, given what you've posted he might be okay. If the system remained pressurized, it prevents both evaporation and the introduction of air into the system. And if he topped off the tank, there should be minimal air within the system to cause condensation or react with the gas in the tank.
That said...why take the chance after a year? Admittedly, it's about $60, but given the cost of repairing the potential complications that $60 seems well spent. Easiest way would probably to siphon it out of the tank via the pump opening. |
