Make sure you purchase a carfax report at carfax.com or something similiar in that nature. Take it to a mechanic prior to purchase to just be sure you arnt paying for something that needs a lot of work or if you are you can get a cheaper price. Check under the car for rust, see how much tread are on the tires, test drive the car on and off the free for atleast 20 min or so to get a good fell of it, make sure everything works (I bought my celica only to learn my cd player was busted, and couldnt do anything about that), also remember toyota's are good cars if they were treated good.

I agree...this is the best advice for ya...I bought my car and it turned out to basically be a "lemmon"...If i still had the money that i put into the car for repairs i could have done an engine swap twice...and prolly had enough for a body kit after that....
