Today a friend of mine told me about a product called Plasti Dip spray paint. He said it acts like a rubber coating over your existing paint and doesn't do any damage Been looking at quite a few videos on youtube and I've seen people spray their whole front hoods and then peel off the rubber paint right after without any damage to the paint. Its about $8 a can from what I've heard and you can get it at lowes and home depot.
I think this is a great idea for those guys in the photoshop request thread who are always asking members to edit their rims paint so they can see which color looks best. Just youtube search plasti dip rims and you'll understand what I'm talking about. They say about one can per rim. Applying about 4-5 coats per rim. Question is, how does this hold up to washing your car? I don't plan on doing my whole car only my red hatchback trunk how long does it last??? I also just read that it best if you use a ultimate rubbing compound (so that the surface your applying the paint too) before applying the plasti dip so that it will adhere to the paint that much better and taking it off will be much simpler.
