So the question is this. In the book, it only shoes from the pump and before I even get to under the car and make a mess, I want to have the hose ready first. So from the power steering fluid reservoir, which hose is the one that connects to the reservoir above the other one? There is one that goes straight down from the reservoir tank, and there is another that connects from the side above the other one. My guess it is the return hose, considering no hard lines are visible, while the one from the bottom connects to hard lines that are visible. I just wanted to ask someone who has experience with this on these model specific cars.
EDIT: Ok I replaced the hose, I just need to know how to properly bleed the air out. It mentions a bleeder valve but I don't see it. EDIT: No.2 Nvm there isn't one on our cars and I did find it in the book how to bleed. #9 is the return low pressure hose. its the easiest to replace. I bought the large PS hose at autozone for 6 dollars(3ft) and cut it to legth and snugged it over to the side with tie wraps. Just a tip make sure it is PS hose because the hose I put on the 1st time was bleeding PS fluid through it . PS hose seems to be coated with a hard rubber or something. You can see my engine pick of what I mean. This post has been edited by xrav22: Nov 17, 2011 - 12:56 PM |
