Hey there....lately, every so often, I turn the key and the lights go on, but the engine doesn't start, or even budge (the starter isn't moving). After a random number of repetitions turning the key, the car starts (it's always less than 10 tries).

Everything else is perfectly fine.

What gives?

You need these: http://www.nationsautoelectric.com/densoparts.html

Toyota actually sells them also, starter/solenoid contact repair kit. local dealer had them in stock, really easy to replace. Just done the wife's Celica last month.

EDIT: The Toyota kit costs more, but comes with everything you could need instead of just the 2 contacts, seals o-rings, gasket and new copper terminal studs. Watch the video

EDIT EDIT: shouldn't need the plunger, just clean up the copper on the plunger
