I have no clue on how to replace my stock cd player with another head unit. Do you guys know any good website on how to install an aftermarket cd player or how to wire my electrical neon lights elsewhere besides using the cigarette lighter as a power source?

Dude, the biggest problem you will have in installing a new head unit is if you have a factory amp. If you have a factory amp and want to bypass it then you'll have to remove A LOT more pieces.
I'm the one who posted the how-to on "installing a new stereo". If you have any questions, you can either post them here or email me. I have some more detailed pics of my installation that I can send you if you like. Also, if you ordered a stereo from Crutchfield, make sure you get the free wiring harness. If they say you can't use it for your vehicle, tell them they're wrong. Just make sure that it's for Toyotas 1987 and up. You'll need this whether you have the factory amp or not and you might as well get it for free. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions. |
