Hello,
I'm new to this forum, but not new to the site or the Celica. I'm 16 years old and I'll be purchasing my car of choice very soon. Out of any car in the world, I'd rather have the 6th gen Celica, the body and look just amazes me. It's 100% class. Anyhow, I have a question that just may decide which car I get. I know there is a 3S-GTE engine swap, and it can produce high numbers. But, I have another in mind. I've been thinking of this engine swap for a while now, but I don't know if it can be done. So, I pop the question. Can I drop the 3.0 Twin Turbo Supra engine into the GT engine bay. Can it be done? Will it work? This question has been plaguing me for a while now, and I just have to know the answers. Thanks, Inferno |

Charlie is absolutley correct. The 2jz-gtte is mounted in a completely different way. You would have to customize the engine bay to where you could drop it in. After doing that, your front end would probably look rediculous. Plus, you are 16 years old, Your insurence rates alone would be enough to put you in the poor house. 3, since you probably haven't handled a car with 300+ horses yet, you will most likely kill yourself when you do. Finally, don't forget that the main turn on of a celica is its superior handling. If you want lots of drag power, get yourself a chevy. I would reccomend taking some racing courses, where you will learn that it isn't the size of the engine that counts, it is how you use it Also it will lower your insurance rates significantly
