After some driving on a warm (not really hot - winter!) day and stopping for a short time -
when restarted, the idle is weak, fluctuates and the engine frequently dies. No problems starting a cooled down or cold engine, or any other problems. Restarting and giving a little gas in this situation fixes it. I heard about the heat soak, but it never happened before in similar conditions. The only difference - after many years of using Chevron exclusively, recently switched to Shell gas. Any ideas? Thanks! |

Probably coolant sensor, check engine light come on? how the exhaust smells when you have the problems to get it started? When was the last time you changed spark plug, spark plug wires, cap & rotor?
