I found a video of a guy with a 5th gen Celica Alltrac that swapped in a v6 & kept his car AWD. Probably old news for a lot of you but it was new to me when I saw it. The video is here.
http://www.metacafe.com/watch/176894/gt4_alltrac_v6/ The search function on here doesn't let you search for two or three letter words so V6 + AWD doesn't come up with anything. I'm sure that the guy has to hang out on one of the forums, either here or Celicatech, alltrac.net, GT4oc or one of the MR2 forums. Any one know him, or have additional info on the car. I'm interested in seeing the challenges associated with this swap. A supercharged or twin turbo V6 GT4 would be awesome. I'd love to see more. Please don't flame me for asking? I did try to search. |

plus the 3vzfe -- obd1 (easy to work with), heavy but indestructible cast-iron block, only requires 3psi of oil pressure, plus its readily available and cheap.
and my favorite little tid-bit... I WOULD love to give it TWINS. how? individual turbo's for each exhaust bank, and the cold side would lead to a lexus 1mzfe DUAL throttle body, mounted to a 1mzfe plenum and intake manifold (yes it matches the 3vzfe head.) <---took a LOT of research to find that little gem. and... GO! lol -------------------- proud =3sgte SWAPPED= '95 Celica ST owner [calling it the GT2 or half-trac]
