 5th Gen 3sge, Battery light and overheat light on |

Hi guys, just recently did the headgasket on my mates 5th gen with a 3sge, ran fine, idling a little low but is running good until yesterday while driving the battery light comes on along with what im guessing is the overheating light looks like:
sss =[]= The 's'es are supposed to be squiggly lines. No engine codes, serpentine belt isnt broken, as far as i can see all the pulleys are turning... Any ideas?? Also the light that looks like the car with lights on is on. |

 you = 3sge.So it seems strange to me that the rear lights go at the same time as the cat (possibly) sensor. Could this be a short somewhere? |
