so new project , not much gunna happen for a awhile , as i have to fix a few things on my offroad truck and tidy up some thing on omy daily driver before sled pullin season , but had to pull my 3sgte out and couldnt resist getting an idea of what i am working with on this build so i leave you with one pic

It's funny, because i was thinking "ashtray" because that is EXACTLY where I put all my change. So suprakid, if you didn't mean ashtray and actually meant the coin holder in the arm rest, my apologies.

On a side note, we can calculate cost and all that jazz....

But depending on what you do to the motor.... aka, rebuild it, or just run it. I think you could get out of it for around maybe 9400.... But that is me assuming, motor, drive train, mounts, some interior mods, new tires, wheels, etc to match up with the mk3 rear end. And that is you doing all the work by yourself and factoring things in like sheet metal, consumables for welding, steering rack modifications.

if you don't do all the fab work yourself it could be much worse... And that's really bare bones ....

Where do you think you are going to be on cost?
