Alright guys, I figured I'd share my Celica ownership past and present...
I grew up with a family owning almost nothing but Toyota's, so I joined them. :gap: My first Celica was a 1994 ST liftback with an automatic transmission... I bought it from a family who inherited from their father who owned it since new. The car had 64,000 miles on it, yes, 64,000. It was SHOW ROOM clean, not one spot of rust on it. The interior was a 10/10. The car was nowhere near quick or fast, I just kept it clean. The only I thing I did to the car was put a stereo in it, and bought some 17" wheels. Then I bought some 17" MSW wheels for it... First "car accident" happened when I wasn't even driving it... Haha. Some lady backed into the left rear fender. Next Celica I owned (not directly after this one) was a 2002 GT-S with a 6 speed transmission. When I bought it, it had 140,000 miles on it. It was the first "sporty" car I owned, so it was really cool. It came with an AEM CAI and a custom axle back exhaust. It was loaded, and it was very well taken care of. Here's the dealership picture... Painted the calipers... I eventually bought some moda 16" wheels for it... Then I bought some KYB AGX's and some Tanabe DF210 (2.5") lowering springs... I really liked the look it gave it. Then... I totaled it. :marky: BYE! Then I missed the car so much, so I bought another... This is the car I own to date, a 2000 GT-S with a 6 speed transmission. I really like this car... It's nice not having just the stock body (which does look sexy still IMO). When I bought it, all that was done to it was S-Tech lowering springs (1.5"), a short shift kit (not sure what brand), and a TRD exhaust. Then before this winter I... Put an S2000 antenna on it, black side markers (to match the plastics in the headlights), black vinyl "CELICA" on the hatch, and just cleaned it up. I also took off the TRD exhaust and sold to a guy in Germany Haha! In the Spring I am putting on my 18" 5 spoke TRD wheels, having a custom exhaust bent and welded up, and fixing the seat side bolster... Yup... Got here yesterday. :gap: Going to drop it off today to get painted this morning... Once I get my TRD wheels mounted, it will all flow nicely. These OEM 16" wheels just aint cuttin' it... :chuckles: And here are the TRD wheels I will be putting on the car when some of the salt washes off the roads... Update: Just got my Magnaflow exhaust tip from Amazon. I'm going to get my custom exhaust done up here in the next week or so. The tip seems really nice and solid. I got the 4" angle cut so that the angle will flow with the bottom of the TRD rear valance. I also just sent out my TRD wheels to get refinished... :gap: And yesterday I ordered a set of Nitto NeoGens... And today I have to replace the front passenger caliper because it's seized up. While I'm doing that I figured I might as well paint the calipers so they don't look so crappy with the new wheels. Got the wheels back today... Got them powdercoated in Hyper Black... I will be wrapping them with the NeoGens I got tomorrow... :gap: UPDATE! Just got the TRD wheels installed after being powdercoated... Here are some pictures I just took down the road... Tell me what you think. :wiggle: UPDATE: C-ONE front lip installed. And here is a video of my new custom axle back exhaust... Here's a short video I made of the car and the new custom exhaust... I used my new GoPro2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myiSdJ0r6qM -------------------- 2000 GT-S 6 SPD... SOLD! |
