So someone told me today that it's a fairly straightforward project to convert my FWD 94 GT to and AWD. He said the chassis is the same, just need the drive train, differential and axles. Is this true? And if so, is it really that easy? I'm sure there is some info on the forums already, but couldn't easily find it.

Im surprised nobody has never though to just weld in the GT4 floorpans and such...much easier it seems.....esp if you got a front clip with the rear subframe etc..... it's been done, someone in Europe did it, looks nice, looks scary, looked like something out of most people abilities. doing an AWD convertion sound great, but unless there is a higher purpose to it ( like organised racing, shop's advertisement car etc ) I dont see the point, if it's for your normal street driving and such, the amount of work needed jsut doesn't pay off in the end. -------------------- ![]() |
