Hello folks,
I'm out on the lookout to buy a straight 6gen Toyota Celica, 96+ would be nice, but 94 is okay as well. GT/liftback trim in manual transmission only. Expanding this search onto this forum because I'm not getting many results on autotrader and craigslist. Oregon and Washington only please. Certainly willing to match bluebook values and pay extra for any reasonable modifications. Must be clean title. Thank you This post has been edited by indesign: Apr 9, 2012 - 10:00 PM |

Horsepower isn't the problem there, it's torque. ST Celica makes 115 ft lb at 2,800 rpm, versus the Civic which made around 98 ft lb at 5,000 rpm. GT Celica makes 145 ft lb at 4,400 rpm. So about equal staying in the lower rpm bands with the Celica. Use mine for going up a steep mountain all the time. If you'd ever want to go and do an engine swap, the GT would be the way to go though.
