I have the 6 speaker stereo system and I want a little more bass. Just to get a full sound out of the audio. I was thinking of replacing either the door speakers or rear speakers with 8" subs but I'm afraid that I'll loose too much mid and high. Has anyone done this, and how does it sound?
And adding a sub and amp in the rear hatch isn't an option for me. I really don't like them taking up space or having to remove it if I need more room. -------------------- 99 Celica GT-S

I want to say that the amps were below the A/C control panel, in the dash. At least one of them was, in that general vicinity. Don't hold me to it though. I know the main one is, I've only had this car 2 weeks and haven't had a chance to tear it all apart yet. I had a couple friends with 6gc back in my tuner days and I remember them having "issues" putting after market systems in because they had to bypass the factory amp and what not and I remember them showing me where it was. Just not sure if the sub amp would have been located there as well ... might be a answer my toyota parts manager buddy can tell me This post has been edited by Xander_X: Apr 30, 2012 - 10:58 PM -------------------- 99 Celica GT-S
