I have the 6 speaker stereo system and I want a little more bass. Just to get a full sound out of the audio. I was thinking of replacing either the door speakers or rear speakers with 8" subs but I'm afraid that I'll loose too much mid and high. Has anyone done this, and how does it sound?
And adding a sub and amp in the rear hatch isn't an option for me. I really don't like them taking up space or having to remove it if I need more room. -------------------- 99 Celica GT-S

QUOTE My car has the 8 speaker setup: Reduced: 60% of original size [ 1600 x 1200 ] - Click to view full image It consists of 4 speakers, 2 subwoofers and 2 tweets total. The 8" JBL subs are located at the bottom front of each door, then there is a 5" mid speaker above that, and then the tweeter in the triangle piece above that. The rears are 6.5". There are 2 amps, one behind the shifter under the dash, and one under the driver side seat. This post has been edited by SupraKid: Apr 23, 2012 - 3:19 PM So I'm getting mixed results here.
