Hi guys..
Looking in the web for the ST205 3SGTE Gen 3 Power FC Plug n' Play i found this product on Berk Technology, for the MR2 3SGTE Gen 3.. http://www.berktechnology.com/shop/product...35&P_ID=480 so.. there says: "Re-wiring required for use on the 94-up Celica ST205 Alltrac".. my question is WHY???.. it's supposed they are same OEM Ecu, engine, etc, right???.. In case it's necessary a re-wiring, what should be changed and how???... Thanks in advance.. Best regards.. Miguel.. -------------------- No se sabe de lo que se es capaz hasta que se intenta... ;) |

i've just bought an Apexi PFC unit that is designed for SW20 MR2 and would like to use it on my ST205
the commander mentions 3SGTE3 PFC Ver3.2 Commander Ver 8.x engine starts but dies after a sec or 2.... i've chosen "ETC"-->"All Data Init"-->"yes". also disabled the Boost control kit and the prob persists....any idea why? This post has been edited by zeus83: May 5, 2012 - 5:10 AM |

The MR2 is wired a bit different than the Celica. I have no experience with an ST205 but my engine came out of a JDM MR2, and that's a totally different car versus the ST205. Don't think that just because they're both 3S-GTE, you can get away with plug-and-play ease. It might work for some people, but not all market cars are wired exactly so it might work for a few members here and not for you. If it shuts down, there is a problem. Check the wiring to make sure that each pin from the ECU harness is going in the right pin location of the PFC harness. The fueling map for an MR2 is going to be different, but I don't think it should prevent your engine from running continuously. Heck, our engines can run with a 4G63 base map...and that engine is WAY different than ours. -------------------- |
