I've been wandering why is the 5sfe engine tilted? Does it have to do with the transmission position or what? I'm clueless to why it's tilted. Lol.

I read somewhere that it was an effort to bring the weight over the front axles, instead of in front of them

I would assume with the larger cylinder head( I imagine its taller than the 3sgte head because its narrow angle) and the taller deck height of the block(because it has a longer stroke). It would hit the USDM hood if it were upright. Also, the manifold mounted catalytic converter would hit the radiator
