My 99 Celica Convertiable 8 inch speaker is blown. Does anyone know of a good 8" Mid bass driver that I can use. Current audio setup is just stock. Once I replace the 8 inch speaker I might as well change the rest. Anyone know the size of the stock front speakers?

The speaker is actually a 6.5" speaker in an 8" bracket. There is actually a debate in a recent thread about whether those speakers in the 8 speaker system are subs or mids, would be nice to get a final definite answer if you can help http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=83445 - Agreed, inquiring minds want to know I would stick with JBL ... they make some nice 8" 2-ways and 8" woofers ... either way you want to go. Soundstream, Infinity, Harman Kardon (JBL, Infinity and Harman Kardon are all made by Harman), MB Quart ... higher end Pioneer, higher end Polk Audio, Massive Audio.
