 engine swap not working, trans doesnt line up, something about a crank sensor too |

I had to change the engine in my 95 ST, so i bought a 7A-fe from a junkyard with 30,000 miles from a 97 corolla. The thing is, the mechanic told me that the trans isnt lining up (my ST is manual) and there is a crank sensor or something that might be a problem. Will this engine fit? If not, what mods will be required to make it fit??

cant you just swap the transmissions? I dont know too much about the 7a so its not really my field but that would seem like the logical answer to me
