Hello all. I have a few issues with my 6th gen 1996 Aniv Ed. ST 1.8 hatchback. My AC blows warm air, and I need freon. What type of freon does this type of celica take? I can get any type of freon, and I know I "should" do the conversion kit, but I am a bit strapped for cash and want to do whatever is cheaper.
The second issue I have is with my brakes. I replaced my brake pads and rotors a few months ago, and they have been squeaking ever since. I Put break lube between the shims and pads, and used caliper lube on the caliper sliders. It worked for a good 2 minutes before it started squeaking again. Any more possible issues this could be from? I was told I may have just gotten low quality brake pads, but I wasn't aware they could sell brake pads that are instantly defective and squeak from day 1. Thanks--I have a few other issues with the car, such as valve ping, sunroof, fuse short, etc., but the AC comes first! It's been 70-80 all week in NY. |
