Hey! I was just wandering how does everyone get their car washed? By hand or through the car wash? What kind of car wash soap do you use and how do you get your car waxed? Yourself? Or hired some one? By hand or power tools? What brands?

So when it comes to waxing.....Liquid? Or Paste?
I used Turtle Wax Paste on my car last time and when it rained. It surprised me how well it worked. So I'm just wandering if liquid would do the same job since liquid is much easier to wax with. -------------------- |

The actual wax in the two are identical, and if you're putting on small amounts the paste and liquid should apply with equal ease. The only real difference is how much evaporation has to take place before the wax can set up. This generally means you can apply successfully with a paste in slightly colder temperatures than with a liquid, but they're otherwise functionally identical. The real difference is for application with a random orbital or rotary polisher. Given the pads on those are 6-10 inches across, liquid is much more convenient. Getting a pad into a can of paste for an even application is a bit of a challenge. |
