Wondering if many have cut an upper grille into their bumper between the high beams? I've found one member here who's done it. Any advice on doing it? Like how to make the cuts nice/straight? Thinking maybe only a small one like the Lexus SC300 from mid/late 90's. Or even approximately a GT4 size. I have the bumper off the car to get it repainted and would like to cut the opening before its painted. Advice from anyone who does custom body work... I don't know how to lay fiberglass, so it'll probably endup as just an opening or maybe mesh behind it. Thank you.

There's two members here who've done a GT-4 grille swap into their pre- and post-facelift bumpers. I personally think it looks better than the GT-4 bumper.

Malpaso has the one with the post-facelift.

They got the grill piece with some plastic still around it and molded it in with plastic welding compound. Sand, prep and paint.

I would try to ask for somebody to be kind enough to measure the grill from a GT-4, for example, and cut it out of your bumper with a dremel, sand it smooth and put a mesh behind it. I think it'd look good.
