I've been a member since I got my Celica back in February. Since then I've seen lots of other Celicas on here and what others have done to them. Needless to say, this has instilled some thoughts as to what I'd like to do to my own. Today I sat down and "built" my dream Celica, just through what I've found out on here. Here's what I have so far:
QUOTE Drive-train: 1MZ-FE headers for the 1MZ-FE custom dual exhaust with Magnaflow catalytic converters and Magnaflow mufflers custom K&N cold air intake E153 transmission with LSD TWM short throw shifter for E153 Suspension: Tanabe coil-overs rear 3 point strut bar front 3 point strut bar Twos R Us end links set Suspension Techniques sway bar set JIC arm bar set Brakes: ST205 front calipers ST205 rear calipers and emergency brake system Exterior: Curren front end conversion Curren front lip TRD side-skirts and rear spats Euro spoiler blocks Kouki tail lights black 16" Enkei RPF-1 wheels 5GC side view mirrors S2000 antenna repaint in midnight blue pearl, purple pearl, or black pearl Interior: RHD conversion Leather front seats Japanese Pioneer double DIN head unit premium audio door panels replace speakers/tweeters with American, Japanese, or European components DD subwoofer with American or Japanese amplifier Of course most of this may never come into fruition, but some of it will. What does everyone else's dream build consist of? This post has been edited by Box: Jul 9, 2012 - 12:17 AM -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

Just got the reference, Home Improvement. It'd certainly be bad ass when all said and done. Hard part is convincing myself to spend $8K+ on a $2K car.
Im working on mine An I'm not gonna lie we arent to far off on our dream builds lol Great minds think alike. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

Just got the reference, Home Improvement. not home improvement, it's from the fast and the furious Haven't seen that movie in ages. There was Harry's Hardware, and he'd put stuff on his tab. So oh well. That is sad. I think the older I get the less I care about driving the street. I love to race, but not on the street anymore, plus theres not really anything i run into that can come close to hanging. Getting older, and rally racing kinda took over my passion for cruising around. I see it all the time though, people spend uber dollars on crazy car builds, then they sell them once there done. It's more about getting there than actually owning one. If I ever decide to sell the rx7 and build another 'street' car it'll most likely be a factory five GTM... but I doubt it. I'd probably spend the money building a replacement rally car. Guess so. I'm fairly young and don't care for street racing, leave it for the track. I still want a car that looks nice and is fun to drive though. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

It's more like... it's the project or accomplishment to get to get what you want done. You drive for it. Once you get there though, then you're bored and need a new project haha. -------------------- -93 Rx7, Turbo 6.1L v8, 725rwhp/760rwtq

Once you get there though, then you're bored and need a new project haha. This. I more or less did my dream build due to a high amount of disposable income... Excellent learning experience, and now I can appreciate all of the time and money that I have put into it.... except once that it's done and you're not putting any real amount of money into it you start to get bored and your mind wanders to thoughts of a new project. 2GR swap would be legit. Supercharged would be too much for a Celica. Too much instant torque for FWD. A 1MZ with an Eaton M90 + standalone would be great... Now to find a M90... -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

I know, was being facetious about the 2GR-FZE. Though I imagine that'd be excellent in an AWD layout. Dream build Celica hatch Curren front 1mz with sc Awd swap Megan coil overs Full poly bushings St sway bars Rhd swapped Gts rims Duck bill Hatch spoiler An oddly enough I dont want splitters on it or any other styling mods that aren't listed lol Got the coupe to make pretty lol Here I thought I was going to be the only one with a Curren liftback. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed
