Hey Guys,
I figured I would share a discovery I made today. We have been getting some pretty hot days here in New England and my AC was just not cutting it. The air coming out of the vents had no velocity even on the highest setting. Being a black on black with leather interior, well it made for a really uncomfortable ride. So today I decided to take a look at the blower motor to see if maybe it was time for a replacement. .... and this is what I found!!! It looks like 2 mice made a little nest in there and died causing the smell!! I was able to clean it all up and now the ride is so much more comfortable -rivs This post has been edited by rivs: Jul 3, 2012 - 8:21 PM |

Wow I have to try that on mine, how do you remove the blower? Sorry I forgot to check back on this post. To remove the blower, you need to first remove the glove box. You have to remove the pass airbag wire(attached to glove box). You can remove this without having to disconnect it. Then you will see the air box assembly. The blower is sitting in it vertically so you need to remove the 3 screws from the bottom. There was a wire harness or 2 that needed to be removed. I also had trouble reaching one screw because it was block by a plastic piece so I just drilled a hole big enough for a screw driver and it was an easy removal. I think it took me maybe 20 min. Let me know if you need more detailed instructions. -rivs |
