Just got my 7th Celica (not all at once). A 1995 convertible. All seems fine but radio was not working when I bought it. I assume bad unit (single din 11712). Didn't occur to me that there could be a connection between this and the dash clock and dome interior lights (by the rear view mirror) also being out.
Went to wire in the replacement radio - no power. Don't have a voltmeter handy, so can't check if juice is getting to these three things. Have checked all fuses and all seems fine. Not sure if there's a relay or any other thing to check that could be connected to all three of these things. Weird thing is that everything else is working fine - even lighter. Any thoughts. I suppose I can run a jump from the lighter to the clock and see if that solves that problem. But clearly something is up and trying to track it down without running to Radio Shack to by a meter.....thanks! |

My alarm(viper) would not set, the clock was off and dome lights stopped working, after he replaced a fuse all has been well. |
