I'm having trouble with my celica with start up where its not idling where it should be instead it idles around 200 and would shut off. but this only happens on ocassion. I noticed that 2 of my spark plugs are wet with oil so I cleaned them up and the problem still occurs. I called Toyota and was told to replace the tube seals but this didn't fix the issue. Could it be the valve guide seals at this point? Also my car is not throwing smoke BUT it does smell like burning oil on cold starts till she warms up. Any suggestions would help.

yeah, maybe clean out the idle control valve, pull the hose off and see if its sucking much air thru it
