ok so i bought a 1996 celica(7a-fe)hatchback, and im a noob, and my brother tells me that i should put the 5s-fe in it because the engine is already capable of handling a lot of power , i just need to know where to even start with this car, i dont want a super fast race car but i just want something cool to drive every day and still be able to keep up with my friends. A list of things to do in order would be great !! laugh.gif

1994-2001. Want to say after 2001 it went to drive by wire. Members Smaay and kurt95gt have done the 1MZ-FE swap.

If I were you, I would just put a turbo on the 7a, until you can afford to do a 3sgte swap. Thats the only engine I would consider upgrading to, its the best.
