So I'm ready to do a gear oil change along with an oil and filter change, but the thing is I don't know where the plugs are exactly.
I tried making sense out of the BGB but I can't visualize it. Can I pour in the gear oil through the reverse light switch hole? (after removing the switch) EDIT: also, how much gear oil should I use? I've seen 2.5qts and 3.5qts in different places... so I'm kinda confused. There is a plug on the bottom passenger side and a plug on the front near the top. I think they were something like 21mm on my 94 GT.
If the car is on a level surface then all you have to do is fill till it starts overflowing, if the car isnt level then its apx. 2.6 quarts though you may wanna double check me on that. Pennzoil syncromesh is what Im running(its fixed my 3rd gear shift) and I think 75w-90 is the viscosity. |

Kinda awkward but the tranny fill plug is facing downward 45* and the drain plug is parallel to the floor. Fill plug is below the slave cylinder and the drain plug is right below the driver side axle. -------------------- 1993 Celica GT Coupe - sold
